I think most people here lose the scope of what the purpose of a minigame is, which is to reduce or completely eradicate the old school "save before and reload as many times after until you get it". Which if you come to think about, is the silliest "minigame" of all. Minigames are there to introduce a much better effort-reward element than the simple "reload and retry". Having said that, not all of them succeed - the lockpicking minigame was OK in FO 3 & NV but I found the hacking one to be obnoxious. For larger difficulties I just couldn't bother playing "cluedo" for each and every terminal. I just saved & reloaded to death.
